Prayer for the Los Angeles Fire Department Amidst the Wildfires
Avinu Malkeinu, our Father and our King,
I come before You in humility and faith, lifting up the brave men and women of the Los Angeles Fire Department as they face the wildfires raging across Los Angeles County. HaShem, Your Name is above all names, holy and righteous. You are the God who commands the heavens and the earth, who sets the boundaries for the sea and holds the winds in Your hand.
Father, I plead the blood of Yeshua, our Messiah, over every firefighter, every first responder, and every leader in this agency. Let the shield of Yeshua’s blood cover them completely—protecting their bodies, their minds, and their spirits as they confront the dangers of the flames. Surround them with Your heavenly armies, warriors of light who stand ready to defend and assist them in this battle.
HaShem, I call upon Your holy fire—not the fire of destruction, but the fire of Your Spirit. May Your fire ignite within them a supernatural courage, strength, and wisdom to face the challenges before them. Burn away fear and uncertainty, replacing it with confidence and clarity. Let Your holy fire be a light in the darkness, guiding them in their efforts and inspiring those around them with hope and peace.
Abba, I pray that You glorify Yourself through their work. Let the people of Los Angeles County see Your power and Your mercy in the midst of the flames. May Your miracles manifest in ways that are undeniable, as homes and lives are spared, and hearts are drawn to You. I pray for an outpouring of Your Spirit over this region, that Your Kingdom would expand as people turn to Yeshua, our Messiah, for salvation and peace.
I ask, Father, that You would bring rain to quench these fires—rain that declares Your authority over all creation and refreshes the land and its people. But more than rain, I pray for the living water of Your Spirit to fall upon Los Angeles County. Let this be a time of revival, where hearts are awakened to Your love, Your truth, and the life You offer through Yeshua.
Thank You, HaShem, for being a God who hears and answers prayer. Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your compassion. May Your Name be glorified in this crisis, and may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
