Jehovah El Roi - The Lord Who Sees Me
Jehovah El Roi (יְהוָה אֵל רֳאִי) means "The LORD Who Sees Me" and appears in Genesis 16:13. This name of God was given by Hagar, the Egyptian servant of Sarah, when she fled into the wilderness after being mistreated. In her distress, the Angel of the LORD appeared to her, giving her a promise regarding her son, Ishmael. Overwhelmed that God had noticed her suffering, she declared:
"You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me." (Genesis 16:13, NIV)

God's vision is personal and compassionate. He does not just see the world in a general sense—He sees each individual and their suffering.
This name brings comfort in times of isolation. Even when others ignore or mistreat us, God is watching over us, providing guidance and hope.
